Many if not most structured decisions are not standalone decisions, but are part of a decision continuum. A decision by a government department to fund a demonstration project of an innovative technology suggests subsequent decisions along a continuum: including evaluating the results of the demonstration project, and decisions whether to roll-out the technology in public or private sector applications.
